The main improvement to the previous policy is the provision of complimentary light snacks for example soup with a fresh roll, and tea & coffee. We are delighted to offer a special Owners & Trainers dining experience in our Premier Restaurant for those wanting something extra special. We offer a 3-course Premier Package. Due to strictly limited availability in the restaurant, it is essential you book your space in advance by calling the Racecourse Office on 01243 543335.
We also have a stable staff canteen which offers a range of snacks & convenience food at affordable prices.
The Owner’s & Trainers Bar is located in Fontwell House. This can be found by following the pathway towards Fontwell Gardens. Whilst this does not have a trackside view, you will find plenty of seating, private toilet facilities, private outdoor seating area, a full bar & casual food service, flat screen TVs to watch the racing and a tote betting point. On racedays where it is possible, we will also ensure any available hospitality suites are available to use for additional viewing, details of this will be given to you on entry.
A limited number of restaurant tables are reserved for owners until 11.30am on declarations day. Your meal voucher can be redeemed for a £10 discount on restaurant prices.

"On behalf of myself and the rest of Valence Racing connections who attended yesterday, I would like to say a very big thank you for the excellent way we were treated at your course. Having complimentary soup and sandwiches on offer when we arrived was a pleasant step up on some of the courses we attend, especially as I had run a half marathon before jumping in the car to drive to your course, from Maidstone in Kent. The free fairground rides were much enjoyed by the children we had with us (as well as some of the adults). The fact that we had success with our runners obviously made it a special day, but it was wonderful to find such welcoming and enthusiastic staff to greet and cater for us after the wins. Nothing was too much trouble and the children were made to feel welcome with soft drinks while we sipped our winners champagne.
All the staff that we encountered were equally helpful (extra race-cards for the syndicate members not able to come were made available without fuss, and ring staff were able to give us more information about the trophies). Experiences like this make owners want to return with their horses and so racedays are enhanced for all. Well done and thank you." Richard Young, Valence Racing.
Nothing matters more to us than looking after the Horses and Jockeys. We agree with recognised animal welfare organisations that horses have the right to a decent and fulfilling life. Our role as the racecourse is to minimise any risk to Horse and Jockey.
