At Fontwell Park, we want to make sure all our visitors have a comfortable and enjoyable experience with us. While there is no strict dress code, it’s important to note that race meetings are predominantly outdoor events, and with the season running from August to February, it’s important to dress for the weather, to ensure you stay warm and dry during your visit.
Fancy Dress
We do allow fancy dress at Fontwell Park but only in the Paddock and Grandstand enclosures. Many people dress in fancy dress for some of our feature days such as St Patrick’s Raceday or for stag and hen parties and that is absolutely fine. We just ask that you avoid any offensive dress as this will not be tolerated and you may be refused entry.
Our hospitality suites and Premier Enclosure are our premium locations, and many racegoers like to adopt a smarter style for the occasion. Again, while there is no strict dress code, we recommend smart/casualwear such as smart jeans or tailored shorts and a collared shirt for gentlemen. A lot of guests like to dress up for the occasion on feature race days and we welcome that wholeheartedly! Our only stipulation is that sporting team shirts and offensive fancy dress are not worn.
There is a more relaxed dress code in our Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure. We ask only that sporting team shirts and offensive fancy dress are not worn. Please be aware that you will be exposed to the elements in these locations and warm clothing is advised.
Many guests like to dress for the occasion on our feature racedays – this is not a prerequisite but a personal choice. Some racedays may include a best-dressed competition with a fancy dress or glamour theme, such as our popular Christmas Jumper Competition at our Festive Raceday or the Best Dressed Lady competition at Ladies Evening. We love to see your outfits on these occasions but request that no sporting team shirts or offensive fancy dress are worn.
