Racing at Fontwell

Located on the southern tip of the South Downs National Park, just 5 miles from Chichester and 8 miles from the coast, Fontwell Park Racecourse features a unique figure-of-eight jumps course, with 24 jump fixtures taking place throughout the year.

This friendly community course has a storied past, celebrating its centenary in 2024 and it’s known for being the racecourse that marked the first win ever for Queen Elizabeth II (then Princess Elizabeth) as an owner, when her horse Monaveen was crowned champion of the Chichester Handicap Chase in 1949.

A left-handed course, Fontwell Park Racecourse has unrivalled views on the track and beyond and is home to the Grade 2 National Spirit Hurdle and the Southern National.

To see all the runners, riders, timings and more at each fixture, our horse racecards are available to view and download the morning of each event. Find out more about how to read a racecourse here.
