This November, one of the biggest days in the jump racing season is back as the legendary Southern National returns to Fontwell Park. Held on the UK’s only figure-of-eight jumps track, this endurance challenge is a standout in the national hunt racing fixtures and promises a thrilling day of sport, spectacle, and countryside charm.
The Southern National is no ordinary race—it’s one of the most iconic events in national hunt racing. Broadcast live on ITV Racing, this 3 mile 3 furlong test of stamina and determination is a must-see for anyone passionate about horse racing in November. Watch as jockeys and horses tackle one of the South’s most competitive horse jumping races, with past winners including Slipway (2022), Tommie Beau (2023) and Unanswered Prayers (2024).
