Join us at Fontwell Park Racecourse on Friday 8th January 2027 for our New Year Opener. Start the year with authentic jump racing, set against the Sussex countryside, and enjoy a winter day out at the races with friends and family.
The New Year Opener brings the thrill of jump racing back to Fontwell. Get close to the action from the rail and watch the horses tackle the jumps on our unique figure-of-eight track. There's plenty to follow as the runners turn for home, with the sound of hooves and the excitement building towards the finish.
Wrap up warm, grab a hot drink and settle in for a day at the races. With food and drink available from our outlets, there is time to catch up with friends and enjoy the racing at your own pace. Fontwell is a friendly local racecourse where racing fans and families can come together to welcome the new year.
Make our New Year Opener part of your January plans. Book your tickets now and kick off 2027 with a day of jump racing at Fontwell Park.
Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
