Don’t forget – all our entertainment is FREE! No need to bring cash or card for rides, and no wristbands needed for the rides, making for a smooth day of non-stop action.
Travel Information
As with all our Family Racedays, we get extremely busy, so we recommend arriving early to secure a free parking spot. Our free parking operates on a first come, first served basis. If you require accessible parking, please speak to our stewards or get in contact with our racecourse team ahead of the day.
All pre-paid Centre Course parking permits should arrive at the Denmans Lane (A27) entrance, not the main car park.
We advise customers car share where possible to ease traffic. You should plan for traffic and travel accordingly.
There are some great public transport options available. We advise checking local bus and train schedules ahead of time as some services may be limited due to the Bank Holiday.
There is a shuttle bus service directly from Barnham Station to Fontwell Park Racecourse which we recommend racegoers to use if using public transport, this service is £4 return.
There will also be a free shuttle bus in operation to and from Ormiston Six Villages Academy, Lime Avenue, Westergate, PO20 3UE and the racecourse. The shuttle bus will be operating from 12:00am until 6:00pm. Ormiston Six Villages Academy has 100 car parking spaces available and will operate on a first come first served basis. Please vacate the car park before 6.30pm when it will close for the week. We encourage anyone local to this area to utilise this shuttle service.
Weather
It’s looking like the sun will be on our side this weekend! With highs of 18 degrees predicted we advise racegoers keep hydrated throughout the day. Whilst we are hoping the day will stay dry, we advise racegoers to check the forecast ahead of schedule and dress accordingly.
Food and Drink
Picnics are permitted in our Centre Course only. Please note, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are not permitted across all enclosures. Tap water is available in all bars across site.
We have a wide variety of food and drink concessions available, including our newly refurbished Figure of 8 bar.
Security
We take security and safety very seriously. There will be a strong security presence and you will be subject to a bag search on arrival.
Please be patient and limit the bags you bring. Remember, no food or drink can be brought into the racecourse unless you are in the Centre Course.
We ask all visitors not to leave bags unattended and to report anything suspicious to a member of staff.
Other Information
Tickets
For ease, we ask customers have their tickets ready on arrival to scan at the gates. We highly recommend booking tickets in advance to save time.
Payment
We are a cash-free site. All bars and eateries are card only.
Our Totes and Bookmarkers will accept cash and card. There are no cash machines on site, so please consider this ahead of time.
Dogs
Except Assistance Dogs, dogs are not allowed to enter the racecourse. In the interests of animal welfare, no dogs are permitted to be left in cars and Fontwell Park Racecourse politely request that all dogs are left at home.
