With a buzzing atmosphere, top-quality horses, and the chance to see future Cheltenham Festival stars in action, this is an unmissable event at one of the most characterful racecourses in the UK.
First run in 1965, the National Spirit Hurdle is Fontwell’s showpiece race – a Grade 2 contest that has seen some legendary names grace the turf. From Baracouda to Lough Derg and Brewin’upastorm, the roll of honour is packed with class.
Run over 2 miles and 3½ furlongs, it’s a real test of speed, stamina, and jumping ability. Whether you’re a jumps racing aficionado or a casual racegoer, this is your chance to witness one of the most important trials on the road to Cheltenham.
